We were called out to this property because the owners had been in town on a recent weekend and had made comments that the spa seemed to be taking a long time to heat up. What we actually found was that the water level in the pool was too high, and the pool was not isolating completely when the system was in spa mode so it was pulling cold water back in from the pool so we took care of adjusting the auto fill float. However, when we were on the property, we discovered a ton of other maintenance issues. It was obvious that this pool had been neglected for quite some time.

We found the filter pressure extremely high and the filter leaking. The salt system was not working properly because the salt cell was caked up with calcium and had not been cleaned. This is also an occurrence caused from improper water balance. We also found that the salt cell was leaking and that there was no check valve between the salt, Cell and the heater. There was also a leaking drain plug on the heater and one of the actuators that is used for operating. The pool into spa mode was also burned out. We took care of all those items and recommended to the homeowner to have their pool service provider. Stay on top of things to prevent any of these from happening again in the future.
