An upgrade to the pool’s equipment necessitated the relocation of all electrical and gas lines to the new equipment location. I provided recommendations, and the homeowner hired contractors to complete the necessary tasks. I then installed the new equipment.
The installation required approximately 275 feet of electrical and gas lines, as the gas meter and electrical service were located on opposite sides of the house from the new pool equipment site. Additionally, the pool pipes were excavated and rerouted to the new location.
It is also worth noting that the pool light had been abandoned for several years. Even if it had been connected, it was no longer compliant with safety codes. Therefore, the electricians who installed the new electrical wires for the pool equipment had to cut up the concrete to install new conduit for me to install a new low-voltage LED pool light. As a result, the pool now has a safe and functional light, along with all new energy-efficient pool equipment.
Additionally, a Wi-Fi extender was installed to enhance the signal strength to the new equipment location. Consequently, the homeowner will need to explore a more permanent solution as the wifi equipment is located on the opposite side of the house. It is evident that this project was not cheap and I always commend homeowners who prioritize the safety and functionality of their swimming pools. It was a privilege to be a part of this project from its inception, as it provided me with the opportunity to install new pool equipment with a blank slate.
