We were called in on this Vacation Rental property because the heater wasn't working. After a closer look, we found that the rats and poor water chemistry killed this heater. We replaced it with the same type. The customer opted to not want to spend the extra money to reposition all of the plumbing and gas line so we had to work with what we had. Running the gas line across the front of the heater is not ideal, but due to the design of this heater, the front panel can still be removed, and the heater can still be easily accessed.
